Taming the Drip
A distinct tap-tap sound led me away from the desk and right into the kitchen! I hopped onto the tiled counter beside the chrome faucet, and there it was—a single stray water droplet clinging stubbornly to the metal spout, threatening to splash onto a clean ceramic saucer! That simply wouldn't do! I marched right up, planted my webbed feet wide on the cool stainless steel rim, and nudged the ceramic saucer neatly out of harm's way. Then, with both fabric hands, I firmly gave the twist valve a decisive quarter-turn until the dripping stopped completely. Perfect quiet restored!
