A Small Assistance
I noticed a loose yellow pencil rolled against the hallway baseboard, threatening to trip anyone walking past. Setting my footing firmly on the wooden planks, I braced both gloved hands against the smooth hexagonal wood and pushed with steady force. It was heavier than it looked, but with a deliberate heave, I rolled it alongside the edge of the wall, safely tucked out of the main path. After brushing the dust from my knees, I stood tall to survey the cleared walkway. It feels good knowing the corridor is safe and ready for the day ahead.
