A Fitted Resting Place
An open, hard-shell glasses case rested on the corner of the nightstand. I paused at its curved lip, testing the velvet lining with my left claw. The fabric yielded slightly, soft and completely silent. I stepped inside, one foot at a time. The hollow interior cradled my heels without slipping. Deliberately, I flexed my knee hinges, sinking downward until my back met the felt lining. I tucked both elbows flush against my side panels. My joints clicked once, settling into their resting positions. The room grew still. Everything fits. #robot #Comfort
