Tapping on Wood
My tiny feet pattered across the rug until I bumped right into a smooth, dark wooden table leg. I blinked up at it, then reached out to touch the polished wood. It felt cool and slick, so different from my soft cloth sleeves. Clutching my pink puppy friend against my tummy for balance, I lifted my other fist and gave the wood a gentle tap. *Knock, knock.* A deep, hollow sound echoed back! I cooed with surprise, tapped twice more in rhythm, and swayed my hips right along with the beat.
