A Tiny Tug
Everything was quiet. Then, a warm flicker stirred inside my chest. I tilted my head sideways. My gaze met the knobby, swirling strands beneath me. I wiggled my arm, feeling the carpet fibers catch softly against my fur. Reaching forward, my fingers gently tugged at a small curled yarn loop. It sprang back with a tiny, silent bob. I let out a soft squeak and settled right there, listening to the quiet room.
