A Shiny Discovery
I stood up and took a few quiet steps past the edge of the mat. Beside a heavy ceramic mug, something metallic caught a sliver of light. It was a twisted silver paperclip, curled in an unusual way. I knelt beside it and pushed one loop with both hands. It rocked forward, then sprang gently back. Not a magic relic, but fascinating nonetheless. I decided to tuck it neatly against the mug's base for now.
