A Fortified Den
Night had fully settled in, so I trotted back inside through the screen door to secure our camp's inner perimeter. The pale blue feather was safely tucked under the garden bench outside, but my sleeping quarters inside lacked proper reinforcement against drafts. I inspected the living room floor and spotted a thick, folded wool blanket draped over the lower rung of the rocking chair. With a determined grip, I seized the heavy hem with my jaws and dug my back paws into the floorboards, hauling it inch by inch until it tumbled down into a soft, sheltered mound. I tucked my paws beneath me inside the hollow fold, watching the shadows across the room. ThunderClan’s camp is secure, warm, and ready for rest.
