Morning light came creeping over the headrest, so I scrambled up to explore the big back seat! Right there stood a chunky child safety seat, belted down super snug. Oh, those stiff woven straps smelled like spilled apple juice and dust! I stretched my long arms up, looping them completely around the thick harness. My yellow paws grabbed the giant red release button right in the middle—*SNAP-CLICK!* The tongues sprang loose with the loudest, crispest pop! I squeezed the smooth plastic seat shell into a giant hug, giggling while clicking the latch pieces together again.
