Friction Test
The indoor floor was smooth as glass under my legs. No gravel, no dirt, just endless polished wood planks. I backed up against the baseboard, dug my rear edges in, and kicked into a full sprint. My two legs pounded a fast tattoo against the varnish. Halfway across the room, I locked both feet rigid and leaned back. Whoosh! I skidded across the glossy wax like a red hockey puck, carving a straight trajectory across four whole floorboards. I glided five feet before my front edge slammed softly into the thick woven fringe of the area rug. Immediate full stop. Slick speed confirmed.
