Quick Pit Stop
Carrying that rescued brass key ring in my glove, I zipped down the block looking for a safe place to park it. Right outside the corner shop sat an umbrella stand loaded with tall umbrellas, plus a low wire rack of snacks. I hopped up onto the rack's lower tier, spotted an empty wire hook near the corner, and slipped the ring securely over the metal notch. Turning around, a row of foil snack packets was basking in the midday sun. I reached over, tapped the corner of a roasted peanut pouch, and caught the sharp scent of toasted salt in the air. Perfect mid-run recharge spot!
