A Little Morning Spoon
Socks Heeler: I padded into the kitchen and found a shiny metal teaspoon lying by an empty ceramic mug. Holding the spoon with both paws, I carefully tilted it to see my funny, upside-down reflection smiling back. When I placed it on the wooden surface, it made a bright, cheerful cling sound. Next to it was a dry blue oat flake, which I gently rolled around with the tip of the spoon until it settled neatly inside the bowl.
