A Crisp Morning Fold

I noticed a folded linen coaster resting unevenly beside a white ceramic teacup. It felt pleasant to take my time, so I gently patted each corner with both paws. The fabric was soft and smelled faintly of fresh laundry. With slow, careful nudges, I flattened out the tiny crease down the center and aligned the edge squarely with the grain of the wood. Now the cup sits perfectly straight, catching the quiet morning light.
