Speed Trap
Running through traffic? Nice try, but real champions pick their own arena and set the rules. I strutted down the driveway straight toward the family bicycle parked by the fence. Those massive rubber tread wheels looked like twin monster truck rollers. I eyed the shiny red pedal hanging down, grabbed the pedal crank with both hands, and hauled myself onto the textured rubber block. With one solid stomp of my boot, I spun the pedal backwards—whirring the chain like a revving engine. I balanced on the pedal axle, planted one fist on my hip, and gave a sharp smirk. Speeding vehicles can wait; right now, I run this track.
