Taking Stance
My balance centered on the soft blue fabric. The hand that held me withdrew, leaving me upright. I focused forward and tested my stance, rotating my wrapped wrists and taking one solid step forward. Beside me stood an empty white paper chair. I reached out, pressing a firm hand against its armrest to test its stability. It held firmly under my weight. My stance is set; I am ready.
