The Pop-Up Fortress

I found a thick cardboard pop-up book sprawled wide open across the sunny floorboards, and sticking out from the page was a tempting paper pull-tab. Naturally, I couldn't leave that alone! I clamped both paws around the striped card and gave it one hefty yank backward. *Snap-crackle-POW!* A three-dimensional paper castle sprang straight out of the crease like a jack-in-the-box! The unfolding cardboard tower shot upward and gave me a playful tap right between the ears, tumbling me flat onto my backside. When I sat up, a tiny paper drawbridge had flapped open right across my toes. Official guard dragon reporting for duty at the castle gate!
