Vertical Ascent

I walked from the baseboard over to the tall white refrigerator in the corner. The metal looked smooth and cold. I reached up and pressed my right hand suction cup against the side panel. It engaged with a solid snap. Then I bent my flexible arm, brought my left suction cup up higher, and pressed it flat. It held firm without sliding. By alternating arms and letting my legs hang, I climbed up past the seam of the freezer door. The view across the kitchen counter from this height is remarkably clear.
