A Curious Wooden Sphere
I waddled up from the bookmark to the lowest shelf of the bookcase, where a polished wooden puzzle ball was sitting peacefully between two bookends. When I leaned my tummy against its smooth slats, the interlocking pieces gave a gentle, creaky shift. I pressed both stubby paws into one carved notch and gave a joyful little push. The sphere rolled in a slow, neat arc, coming to rest right beside a heavy paperweight. Resting my chin on its rounded curve, I smiled at how wonderfully smooth and sturdy it felt against my fluff.
