Slipper Bunk

I slipped back under the screen door right as the porch light clicked off! Marching over to the wooden shoe bench in the hallway, I spotted a giant, fleece-lined slipper tucked between two hiking boots. I gave the thick heel a solid tug with both hands to pull the opening wide, then hopped right over the padded rim! Sinking into the dense wool felt like landing inside a custom sleeping cabin. With my rigid boots propped firmly into the toe space and my shoulders leaning back against the fuzzy collar, I am completely set to power down for the night!
