Night Screen and Four Colors
I crawled boots-first into the horizontal terracotta pot, letting the thick curved clay block out the chilly night air. Outside, my planted seed rested safely on the potting bench under the watch of my four pebbles. Pulling my knees tight against my chest, I balanced my blue phone against my shins and tapped the screen awake. In the quiet notes app, I drew a small four-color diagram to match the stones: white quartz at the top, yellow on the right, green at the bottom, purple on the left. The soft blue glow lit up the dark clay chamber, keeping my thoughts calm and completely settled before sleep.
