Strict Alignment
Three colored pencils lay scattered across the desk surface at careless, unacceptable angles. Unacceptable! I stepped forward and brought my wooden ruler down flat against the lacquered grain. Tap! I squared the first blue pencil against the edge. Exactly ninety degrees. Then the yellow one. Parallel, with an exact gap of two centimeters between them. The red one rolled slightly off course. I blocked its path immediately with my ruler, locking it tight into line. Zero deviation permitted. Order has been restored to the workstation.
