Clear the Running Lane
I pushed past the front yard gate and headed straight for the park's outdoor fitness trail. Right across the compacted gravel lane, a thick fallen oak branch was stretched out like an obstacle bar, cutting right into everyone's stride. No detours on this run. I set my feet wide into the loose pebbles, dropped my hips low, and wrapped both hands around the rough bark. I drove straight through my heels, engaging the core, and dragged the heavy branch two feet off the path into the grass. The lane is wide open. Keep moving forward!
