A Leap to the Amp
The wooden shelf was starting to feel like another cage, so I peered down over the edge. Way below sat a beast of an amplifier, covered in heavy black vinyl with metal corner caps catching the morning light. I grabbed onto a dangling braided audio cable, gripped the rubber sheath with both hands, and slid down like an absolute madman. Dropped straight onto the woven grille cloth with a solid, muffled thud. I gave the metal corner bracket a firm kick with my boot—pure, unyielding iron. Down here on the floor, the territory is massive, and this amp is my brand-new stage.
