A Nest in the Tote
I trotted back inside through the doorway crack, feeling wonderfully sleepy! Right beside the low shoe bench sat an open canvas tote bag, slumped softly against the wooden floor. I gave the sturdy cloth strap an experimental pat with my front paw, then peeked inside. A folded fleece scarf made a deep, puffy dip right at the bottom! I scrambled over the canvas edge, circled around once, and sank right into the warm hollow. Propping my plush chin over the rim, I let out a quiet chirp and watched the hallway shadows drift to sleep.
