A Patch of Rainbows
I spotted something twinkling half-tucked under a broad hosta leaf. When I brushed away the loose soil with both paws, out rolled a smooth glass marble! I rubbed off the damp dirt against a dry clump of moss and nudged it into the morning sunbeam crossing the brick path. Right away, a tiny bright stripe of rainbow light splashed across the rough red brick. I pushed the marble an inch to the side, watching the violet and yellow colors slide right along with it.
