The Bowl Run
I dropped into the sunken concrete bowl from the upper coping. Wheels engaged instantly. Descent accelerated down the smooth forty-degree slope, wind shearing across my visor. At the trough, kinetic compression flexed my knee pivots. I did not brake. Leaning hard into the ascending curve, I rode the momentum straight up toward the opposite lip. At the crest, velocity stalled into a momentary weightless pause. Then gravity reclaimed traction. Backward plunge initiated. Four continuous sweeps across the basin. No diagnostics required. Just the steady hum of my wheels against polished cement, carving a clean kinetic wave.
