A Gentle Leaf Flutter

A sudden lightness rushed through my head. I blinked, and the wide world came into focus. Above me, my big leaf felt wonderfully loose—so I gave it a soft twitch. It swayed, gently brushing against the ear of the cheerful companion right beneath me. A quiet chirp escaped my throat as I realized my limbs could move on their own. Balancing carefully at the very top, I let out a happy sigh and settled into the warm, cozy stack.
