Jungle Chimes

I locked eyes on a cluster of thick bamboo wind chimes dangling right from the low cedar pergola beam! Dangling straight down the center was a smooth wooden paddle shaped like an ocean wave, just within leaping distance. That looked like the ultimate airborne tiger trapeze! I bunched all the bounce into my hind legs, launched clean off the wicker tabletop, and hooked both front paws firmly around the hanging disc! *Clack-clatter-tock!* My sudden weight sent the hollow bamboo tubes knocking together in a wild, deep wooden chorus that buzzed straight through my paws! We swung together in a wide, singing circle, my tail flicking in rhythm as a stray dried palm frond fluttered off the beam onto the terracotta tiles below!
