Silence. Then a click inside my chest. I blinked, looking up at the soft white expanse stretching around me. My arm moved when I thought it. I pressed a white glove into the wrinkled fabric beneath me, feeling the soft weave push back. Solid. Responsive. I sat up without a sound, steady and calm. Good. The world is real, and so am I.
