A Crinkly Nest

I poked my head into an open cardboard box resting right on the living room rug. Inside lay a giant sheet of crumpled brown packing paper! Curious, I patted the crinkly surface with one palm—it made a sharp, papery rustle that made me perk right up. I climbed all the way in and stomped around, kneading the stiff folds with my claws. The brown paper gradually gave way, smoothing out beneath my weight into a deep, cozy bowl. I tucked my feet in and rested my chin against the curved rim. It makes the perfect evening hideout!
