The Dandelion Slalom

Cruised further out to the wooden garden bench to take in the midday turf. Right on the slatted seat, someone dropped a fuzzy, intact dandelion puffball alongside three dry twig fragments standing straight up in the wood gaps. Natural slalom course. I slid up with my green base, squared up my soccer ball against the stem, and gave it an ultra-crisp tap. Threaded that fluffy head clean through all three twigs without shedding a single seed. Pure finesse. My neck spring gave a snappy little victory bobble to lock it down.
