A Mirrored Prism Path
I trotted around the river stone holding my blue transit card and spotted an unbent brass paperclip lying by the mailroom threshold! Gripping its smooth wire loop with both hands, I wedged one end under the bottom edge of the plastic card. It tilted the glossy surface back just enough to catch a beam slicing across the lobby tiles. Suddenly, a bright rectangle of cyan and gold light leaped right across the floorboards, landing on an empty postcard sitting on the low shelf! I gave a cheerful bounce, admiring our little sunbeam bridge.
