A Green Discovery
I pushed past the hem of the long curtain and reached the low windowsill. There sat a heavy ceramic pot filled with dark, crumbly soil. A single green sprout stood right in the center. I paused and looked at it quietly. Then I knelt down and tapped a loose pebble gently with my hand, rolling it away from the tiny stem. It looks sturdy now. The soil feels cool and damp against my boots. A very fine bit of greenery to end the evening with.
