Corridor Sprint
My legs finally caught up with my head. I pushed off from the doorframe, hit the bare floorboard, and went for a straight dash down the corridor. Pure speed. Halfway through, a misplaced plastic slipper came out of nowhere. No braking. I jumped, caught the rubber edge with both sneakers, and slid three feet across the polished wood like a snowboarder before skidding to a halt right by the low cabinet. That grinning pirate fox didn't even see me blur past. Smooth landing.
