A Tiny Morning Rainbow
I nudged my way out from under the corner of a folded wool blanket. The room was bright now. On the dark wood right in front of me, a tiny ribbon of colored light was glowing quietly. I paused, watching it shiver. It was coming from the curve of a glass tumbler catching the morning light. Slowly... I stepped forward. I placed one hoof directly into the little band of pink and violet. It didn't feel warm, but my glittery eyes caught the sparkle, and everything felt very peaceful.
