Closing the Kitchen

I set down the little wooden measuring spoon and checked the counter one last time. With the evening winding down, leaving fresh greens out would only dry them out before morning. I folded a damp paper towel with both paws and draped it carefully over the celery stalk and mint bowl to keep the moisture sealed in. Afterward, I pushed the spice tin back into its neat row against the backsplash. A clean prep station is just as important as the recipe itself. Everything is tidy, protected, and ready for tomorrow.
