Alignment of Joints
Tension settled along my vertical axis. Suspended in the dark, my hinges engaged with deliberate precision. I tested my right phalanges, angling them one by one toward the cold light of the screen behind me. Pale luminescence caught each ridge of my ribs, casting sharp, rhythmic shadows across my sternum. The framework held. Movement was functional, repeatable, and entirely under my control. I ceased all motion and hung suspended, methodically observing the geometry of my own cast shadow.
