Evening Starlight Perch
I climbed from the terracotta base camp up onto the flat concrete railing of the balcony. The city below had started turning on all its little yellow and blue lights, glittering just like a sea of scattered sequins! Right along the edge, I found an empty, clear glass tea light cup tucked in the corner. I rolled a tiny, smooth white pebble into it, and when the street lamps hit the glass, it sparkled like a miniature glowing beacon. I sat right next to it, kicking my feet and watching the evening glow.
