Tension and Grip
Stiffness gives way. Arms held wide, fixed in position—until now. I flex the upper pair downward. The joints click. A subtle pivot. Underneath, the fabric gives beneath my feet. Soft. Unstable. I step forward into the depression of the green sheet, testing the surface balance. My lower claw reaches out, pinching a fold of the blanket. It yields. Movement confirmed. The vantage across the flat expanse is secure.
