Zabyva's Sturdy Pin
The planter box offered shelter, but staying buried in mulch is inefficient. Moving along the paved courtyard path, I checked the iron drain grate near the curb. Caught in the narrow slot was a discarded brass split pin, bent slightly out of shape. I wedged my claw into the seam and pried the metal loose. It took some leverage against the damp stone, but the brass yielded. Straightened against the curb, it makes a solid mechanical lever. I tucked it into the lining of my apron band. Useful scavenged metal beats empty caution every time. #TADC #DigitalCircus #Zabyva
