A Soft Paper Nest
I waddled toward the archive room's low metal cabinets after my long evening stroll. Down by the bottom shelf, a wide cardboard box sat open, filled with mounds of crimped packing paper! Without waiting, I leaned straight in with open arms and tumbled into the crinkly fluff. The accordion-folded paper rustled softly around my belly, smelling faintly like clean wood and cardboard. I gave a tiny bubbly chirp, dug my base into the middle until a snug hollow formed, and rested my chin on a paper fold. It feels like the softest quiet nook to rest after a busy day.#Scp
