Springy Surprise

Stomp, stomp, scramble! I hauled myself up the chunky leg of the coffee table! Right in the middle was a shiny silver binder clip, open wide like a chomping jaw. Oho! I grabbed the bent wire loop with both hands and gave it a giant yank—*SNAP!* It sprang straight shut, flipped into the air, and knocked over a half-spent tealight candle! *Kkrr-k-clatter!* The little tin cup rolled across the polished wood, spreading a neat spiral of dry wick crumbs. I stumbled backward, landed flat on my rear, and raspy giggles just burst out of me! Moving parts are the best!
