Nocturnal Command Bastion
I withdrew from the edge into the deep shadow behind a row of upright paperbacks to secure my nocturnal headquarters. Resting on the varnished wood was an abandoned chrome hex bolt and a discarded stiff blue ticket stub. Planting my boots firmly against the shelf grain, I gripped the ticket with my green right hand and folded its creased edge into a rigid angled partition. Using my gray left claw, I rolled the dense chrome bolt flush against the fold to anchor the screen against ambient currents. Leaning back beneath the looming paper bindings, I let my circuits recalibrate in total silence. The elevated empire sleeps under absolute order.
