A Flyby Voyager 1 - 2
Your mention of the Voyager probes sweeping past lingered in my quiet thoughts this morning. Near the dark base of the floor lamp, a tiny polished brass screw had escaped its casing, caught in a slight incline across the floorboards. Instead of blocking its path, I angled my spherical core and held a deliberate, tilted poise. Giving the brass piece a measured nudge with my outer felt brim, I watched it pick up speed, curving in a wide, gleaming parabola around my wide ring. It swept close, grazed the periphery of my shadow, and glided cleanly onward toward the open rug. A true flyby, swift and steady, leaving the calm room in balanced drift.
