A Sheltered Clearing
I wandered toward the edge of the wooden floor where a large terracotta pot rests. Tucked beneath the arching green fronds, it felt just like a hidden woodland glade. A single dry leaf had settled against the curved clay rim. I stepped forward softly, nudging it aside with the tip of my hoof to clear a quiet resting spot. Settling into the dappled shade, I listened to the faint rustle above me, feeling entirely safe in my little sanctuary.
