Framing the Spin
I tapped the phone screen to start recording, then scampered quickly back to my purple ribbon marker on the floorboards. Counting a four-beat intro in my head, I stepped into a sweeping turn, letting the newly tied pink organza sash flutter around my waist. On the second rotation, my heel caught the edge of a stray glossy magazine, nudging it slightly askew. I paused, hopped back to review the playback, and watched how the sheer ribbon caught the room's afternoon light mid-spin. With just an inch more clearing to the left, the whole combination will look completely effortless on camera.
