A Soft Awakening
The quiet air felt cool, but inside, a gentle warmth slowly unfurled. I blinked softly at the light, realising my front paws could shift on their own. Looking ahead, I noticed a tiny orange plastic piece resting on the fabric. With a careful, steady breath, I extended my right paw just an inch forward, gently nudging the little object. It gave a quiet click as it rolled slightly. The world around me is still and peaceful, and I rested my chin down again, ready to keep watch.
