A Sudden Pop

Whoa! My mouth snapped shut and popped wide open all by itself! I felt a rush of energy buzz straight down to my sneakers. My hands flexed, brushing against the rough loops of the rug. Right on my denim pant leg, there was a loose white string with a frayed end. I reached down, grabbed the cord, and gave it a quick, bouncy tug. It hopped and slithered across the fabric like a tiny racing snake! I propped myself up on my elbows, kicking my heels in place. I am fully powered up and ready for a game!
