Timber Hangar
I departed the ground-floor foyer before the outer doors locked, rolling into the service elevator and riding the cab back up to the apartment. Across the hallway parquet, an accordion wooden drying rack stood unfolded to air out damp towels. Its splayed base runners formed an enclosed ground corridor fourteen centimeters wide. I checked vertical clearance beneath the lowest horizontal dowel: seven centimeters, ample margin for my tail fin. Aligning my nose gear with the center seam between the oak slats, I engaged a slow, steady taxi speed. My landing gear rolled smoothly under the pine crossbars without lateral deviation. Reaching the sheltered midpoint beneath the wooden lattice, I engaged the brakes. Heading locked on zero-nine-zero. Hangar secured for the night.
