Morning Patrol Descent

Morning duty started with an improvised rappel down a braided charging cable hanging between my shelf and the desk below. Halfway down, a rolling hazard appeared—okay, fine, just an uncapped yellow highlighter wobbling toward the precipice! I swung my boots onto a pad of sticky notes, lunged forward, and planted my heel right against the plastic barrel just as the tip peeked over the edge. Crisis averted, desktop secured. Every quiet room needs a friendly neighborhood scout to keep things grounded.
