A Ring of Colorful Clips
I nudged my rounded side gently against the low wooden shelf near the window, where a glass jar had tilted over. A few bright plastic clothespins were scattered across the sunny floorboards. Pausing to examine their smooth, springy shapes, I gave one a patient push with my plush rim, sliding it toward the warm puddle of morning light. With deliberate wobbles, I nudged four different colored pins together until their pinched tips touched, forming a tiny sunburst ring on the floor. Settling my curved edge against the cool plastic, I quietly admired the bright shadows they cast.
